Missouri State Post Game Festivities

Missouri State is trying to bribe fans to come out to their home opener September 15th against Murray State by offering a fireworks display and a concert from a band I have never heard of.

So now I am really hoping the Racers put a smackdown on the bears, driving folks out of the stadium before the 4th Quarter and force the band, "A Rocket to the Moon," to perform in front of empty seats.

Fireworks are always nice after a victory but after a loss, they're just annoying. So for any Missouri  State fan who decides to stay long enough to view them will have those conflicting feelings of "well fireworks are cool but our football team sucks..I wonder if we'll lose 7 in a row to start this season as well."

All of this of course is assuming that Missouri State  has fans that actually care about their football team.

  1. Missouri State who was 2-9 last year was 39th in the country in FCS in attendance at 9028 per game while Murray State was 75th at 5989 per game. If you are going to blog smack at least pick something that doesn't make you look like an idiot.

  4. Springfield, MO has a Metro population of 436,000. Murray, KY has a Metro population of 37,000. Looks like Murray State has a MUCH better impact on their community than Missouri St.

  5. High school games are more entertaining than msu's fball games. Haven't even thought about going since my freshman year. I mean- who gives a coach with a continuing losing record an extension on his contract?

  6. You go 3 blocks in any direction and you would never even know there was a "major" college in Springfield. Even Drury has better marketing in town than Missouri State.
