Derrick Rose is the main factor for the Chicago Bulls acceleration to the top of the league for the past two years, but last year completely changed that mind-set when we all him grab his knee in agonizing pain.
D-Rose's blinding quickness and gravity-defying moves to the basket has no doubt been the reason the Bulls have had the best record in the league for the past two years. Last year the expectations for the Bulls were championship or bust and it seemed like they were on the track for winning it all when they came away with the best record in the league again and were going to play the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round.
Then the injury came that shell-shocked all of Bulls nation. The one person who had never missed more than 5 games his whole career until last year came away from Game 1 of the playoffs with a torn ACL. Rose went down for the rest of the season on April 28th and had his surgery May 12th. And according to doctors, he is 2 or 3 weeks ahead of his rehabilitation schedule, which was supposed to keep him out to mid-December to January.
With that in mind, I can't help but think about if Rose returns sooner than what everyone thinks. Personally, I don't think it is to rush him back. I doubt the Bulls will get a #1 seed again this year for the playoffs. I would love to see D-Rose back on the court ASAP but all in good time.
Rose recently came out with a YouTube video updating all the fans about his rehab and also Adidas just came out with a new commercial showing Rose's determination to get back on the court. The link for both are posted below.
