1908: George Witse a pitcher for the New York Giants throws a 10 inning No-Hitter.

1939: Lou Gehrig retires from Major League Baseball and Yankees retire their first jersey.

1980: Nolan Ryan records his 3,000th Strike Out

2003: Kobe Bryant is arrested on charges of rape.

2009: Former Titan Quarterback, Steve McNair is murdered.
