Recruit Profile: Jeffery Moss

For the third straight Monday we bring to you, "Recruit Profile." This week we examine the talents of 6'5'' shooting guard Jeffery Moss. A native of Madison, Alabama, Moss is rated a three star player by and according to is the third best player from the state of Alabama. Moss signed with the Racers in the fall of 2011 after averaging 12 points a game and shooting 56% from the field for Bob Jones High School his junior year.

According to scouts, this lefty has the ability to get a shot off when he wants to and has the confidence in himself to want the ball in all situations of a basketball game. With his size and athleticism he can get to the rim and make plays happen. According to rivals he has the skill set of a good passer to go along with his shooting ability.

Moss was named MVP of the Alabama Basketball Academy Senior Showcase where he lead his team with 15 points. In a interview with Future of Hoops, Moss said somethings that, as a Racer fan, can only make you smile.

"I feel I could come in and contribute in ways that could lead to a national championship run."

Moss is another exciting addition to Steve Prohm's awesome first class and Jeffery will most likely be a contributor this year. At the shooting guard position there are some huge shoes to fill. Donte Poole wont be easy to replace and Moss won't be Poole's replacement since he appears to be more of a driver than a spot-up shooter. However he does have a decent shot and along side other shooting guards, Stacey Wilson and Dexter Fields. the Racers should be just fine at the 2 spot.

Below is highlights from Bob Jones versus Lee High School. Be warned, around the 5:09 mark things get real nasty, real fast.
