Racer Recruiting Watch

The top story this week in Murray's world of basketball recruiting is Robert Hubbs. If you remember last week we said Hubbs is a "long shot" recruit for Steve Prohm. According to Hubbs is ranked 16th Nationally, 5th at his position and 2nd in Tennessee. Also according to the site Murray State is considered to be a favorite for the 6'4'' shooting guard. Now don't get overly excited the site also list 5 of his 16 other schools that he is interested in as his favorites but still it allows us to exercise more hope. Check it out HERE

Last week we updated Racer Fans on RJ Currington who was one of the thirty recruits that showed up on campus. Also in attendance was players like Jordan Martin, a 6'7" 190 pound forward. This was a very impressive bunch of players and gives a good example of what  winning your first 23 games will do for you. Steve Prohm is building something special here, a place that star high school players want to visit and want to attend. Prohm will be able to show recruits what Canaan and Daniel are doing this summer and say "This is why you wanna play here." Murray State will be able to deem itself as a school that produces NBA talent and can help get these guys to the next level.

Murray State is a name that young basketball players are beginning to become familiar with and as Steve Prohm is in the process of delivering Murray State one of it's best recruiting classes of all time we must realize that this is the beginning of a long process of giving Racer fans something that has never seemed like a real possibility...a National Championship.
