Murray State Basketball Recruit MVP of Slam Orange Tournament

A name that has frequented this blog has been that of RJ Currington. The 2013 shooting guard put on a display at the Slam Orange Tournament this afternoon which included a 27 point game and Co-MVP honors.

In terms of recruiting this can be viewed as a good thing and a bad thing. Good because, if Steve Prohm lands RJ we know we're getting a player who can come in and make a difference right away. Bad because other big schools, at least those who haven't offered RJ already,  might be adding him to their recruitment real soon. Which means, of course, more competition for Prohm and company to recruit against.

Murray State has offered RJ Currington a scholly already.

In other recruiting news, if you paid attention a few days ago, you would know that the Racers have started to express interest in another big recruit of 2013, Jabari McGhee.

The small forward from Georgia has a long list of schools interested in adding him to their roster. Many SEC schools and other southern schools are recruiting Jabari but also teams out west like Oregon are keeping an eye on the 6'5" 185 pound Albany native.

McGhee averaged almost 16 points to go along with nearly 8 boards a game last year for Monroe High School.

Video of Jabari McGhee below.
