Friday's Racer Round Up

A lot of headlines dealing with Murray State basketball and football players (former and present) have been released the past few days so let us summarize all of it for you, the reader.

Donte Poole is on his way to play professional basketball overseas. Murray State's lights-out shooter from a season ago will be taking his talents to Cyprus to continue his basketball playing career.

Tony Easley and Ray George have been invited to NBA Summer Camps. Tony Easley will be playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves this summer and Ray George will be with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Isaiah Canaan continues to receive a lot of media attention. Canaan was deemed the best point guard of Lebron James Camp, he was then rated #3 on a list of the 50 best college basketball players for 2012-2013 (the only two in front of him are Shabazz Muhammed of UCLA and Cody Zeller of Indiana) and also Canaan did an interview with Yahoo! Sports. Which you can listen to right here.

In Recruiting News Murray State has shown interest in 2013 recruit Jabari McGhee. Other schools that are interested are Ole Miss and South Carolina. We will provide more news on McGhee on Sunday's Recruiting Recap.

Casey Brockman has been added to the Walter Payton award watch list. Seriously, how fun is this year about to be? Football and basketball are both likely to have good seasons both may be ranked in their preseason's top 25 polls. Can we get through summer already?
