Daniel and Canaan Impressing NBA Scouts at Nike Camps

Your Murray State basketball stars are getting a lot of attention from NBA scouts and agents at the Nike basketball camps. Ed Daniel who is currently at the Amare Stoudemier camp and Isaiah Canaan who is improving his skills at the Deron Williams camp are both increasing their chances of winning another OVC title and being drafted in 2013. Last night Probasketballdraft.com tweeted this

@SiP03 & @ED_EDD_EDDY_02 should give the Murray State fans and alums a lot to cheer about next season. Very impressive at the#Nike Camps.
They then singled out Ed Daniel by tweeting this earlier in the day:

Ed Daniel of Murray State is a name to watch. Will be drafted in 2013. Might be one of the top players here at Amare camp

I, for one, can see Ed as a NBA player, he has the athleticism  (as you can see from the video below)

If he develops more of an offensive game,  there's no question he could be a strong contributor to an NBA roster.

As of right now Isaiah Canaan is projected first round to the Boston Celtics with the 21st pick in the 2013 NBA Draft according to nbadraft.net. Ed is not on their list for the first two rounds but if this does happen that would mean Steve Prohm will have put more players in the NBA in the last two years than Louisville Head coach Rick Pitino.

  3. Love reading great things about the Racers. Will follow their career wherever they may go. On side note, if you want to be taken seriously as a writer pay closer attention to your grammar: "You're Racers" (you are Racers?) Think you meant to use your.

  4. Thanks for the constructive criticism. A professor once told me "There's nothing like proofreading." And that was nothing like proofreading.

    1. Your Grandson is a product of the impact made by his family, teammates, coaches and friends. The biggest impact is the family. You and the rest of your family need to be proud of the hard work put into developing one of the all around greatest men that I've had the pleasure to meet.
