Canaan, Daniel are Headed to LeBron James Camp

Isaiah Canaan and Ed Daniel must be on a mission to dominate next year. The two are off to another camp as they are headed to Las Vegas for the annual LeBron James Skills Academy.

The two will join the nation’s top 80 high school players and top 20 college players. The camp will feature many of the elite instructors in the game. The camp is hosted by three-time NBA MVP LeBron James for four days of intense skill development and competition in front of of members of the media and NBA scouts.

This is really impressive for the Racers. According to sources, only the players who perform exceptionally well in the earlier summer camps get to attend the camp hosted by LeBron James. Canaan and Daniel must have really stood out in the Amare Stoudamire, Chris Paul, and Deron Williams camps. Rumor has it that Canaan beat Chris Paul in a game of one on one in Paul's camp. It’ll be exciting to see how they do next year with all the help they have gotten.

Canaan was a star for the Racers last year. He averaged 19.0 points-per-game, 3.6 assists per game, and 3.5 rebounds per game last year. He’s also deadly from outside. Last year, Canaan shot nearly 50% from downtown. Canaan won numerous awards last season and is drawing attention from NBA Scouts.

Daniel was one of the better big men for the Racers a year ago. He only stands at 6’7 but he averaged 6.8 points-per-game and 5.5 rebounds per game. I think Daniel will end up being the most improved player on the team when next season is all set and done.

These two are helping us get better next year and for future years after that. This will entice recruits and persuade them to come and join Racer Nation because there is an NBA dream at Murray State.
